JAMES ULMER: PAPER WORKS!

Marvin Gardens is pleased to present PAPER WORKS!, a solo exhibition ofpaintings on paper by James Ulmer in our annex space. On display are sevenunique works depicting figure-groups or solo figures actively engaged andpainted in Ulmer’s characteristic style of flatly painted shapes in bright,punchy colors. In this body of work he continues to push boundaries byabstracting and flattening simple recognizable shapes and distorting them tobecome far more interesting compositions and color-play than would be astraightforward depiction. We welcome you to share in this rare opportunity tosee an exhibition devoted solely to Ulmer’s paintings on paper.
