Jonathan DeDecker & Jonathan Edelhuber: JONATHAN ^2

Marvin Gardens is pleased to present JONATHAN2, a two-person painting show in our

exterior yard space. Continuing our summer theme of bringing together friends
within our community, this show also brings together -as the title suggests- two
artists who share the same given name. Jonathan DeDecker and Jonathan Edelhuber
each present 2 graphically charged figurative paintings. All four works share
expressive surfaces of varied textures and techniques for which these two artists are known. Edelhuber’s tondo panels grin from the walls as part talisman and part facial masks of humanoid beings, while DeDecker’s canvases equally carry a charged weight in their graphic presence, and lend an appropriate feel of street-art, especially as combined with the varied outdoor wall textures.
